The artwork is a vibrant and textured painting of a dense, colorful garden scene. It features an abundant array of bright pink and purple flowers in the foreground, with various shades of green foliage interspersed throughout. Tall, dark evergreen trees frame the scene on both sides, creating a natural corridor that leads the eye toward a bright, light-filled clearing in the middle distance. The sky above is painted with a rich blue hue, accented with dynamic strokes of lighter blues and subtle touches of orange and white. The use of bold, expressive brushstrokes and a thick application of paint adds depth and a tactile quality to the landscape, evoking a lush and lively outdoor setting.
This artwork was inspired by a place I find profoundly beautiful and grounding. The process of building up layers of texture was important to convey not just the look, but the sensation of stepping beneath these evergreens into a living, breathing landscape.
